The leaders and employees of the Ethiopian Industrial Inputs Development Enterprise celebrated the successful performance of the organization’s 2017 E.C budget year and the completion of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) on April 4, 2017.

In her opening speech, the CEO of the enterprise, Ms. Yeshimebet Negash, said that this great occasion we are celebrating is special for two reasons, the completion of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, which is the first Ethiopian footprint and the manifestation of the Second Ethiopian Victory of Adwa, and the completion of our plan in the 2017 fiscal year, which is the final year of our organization's second strategic plan, was the most successful year of the past four years.

The organization noted that it achieved 112 percent of its plan in the fiscal year. The CEO of the organization stated that the results achieved are the result of the coordination and cooperation of the organization's leaders and employees, and stressed that this coordination and cooperation should continue to be strengthened in the 2018 budget year.

In this regard, Ato Shewan Gizaw Mamo, member of the Executive Board of EIIDE, pointed out in his speech that the celebration is being held today at the completion of the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, the achievement of the highest results in the past 4 years, and the fact that it is on New Year's Eve, heralds a bright future for the organization and our country.

He added that this result is due to the organization's strong leadership , employees’ dedication and workers' coordination should be strengthened.

Finally, the Chairman of the Basic Workers' Association of the organization, Ato Girmachew, delivered his message, focusing on the excellent results achieved by the employees during the fiscal year, the cooperation between the management and the leaders of the association, and the issues that the management and the leaders of the organization will continue to focus on.
